Welcome

By all accounts, the 4^th biennial Eastern CANUSA Forest Science Conference was a success!

Thanks to the more than 140 participants for making ECANUSA a forum for cross-border information about the Acadian Forest. The program included four compelling keynote addresses, 56 oral presentations, 36 posters and one very inspirational, entertaining after-dinner speaker.

Focusing on two central themes of Climate Change and Bioenergy, ECANUSA 2008 was very timely. Presentations spanned topics including silviculture and forest production, landscape management, social science, wood products, forest operations and forest ecology.

We look forward to the next ECANUSA in 2010 at Université de Moncton in Edmundston, New Brunswick.
